PLA activities in the waters and airspace around Taiwan

1.Date：
6 to 6 a.m. (UTC+8) Monday to Tuesday, Jan. 1-2

2.PLA activities：
4 PLA aircraft and 3 PLAN vessels around Taiwan were detected by 6 a.m.(UTC+8) today. 1 of the detected aircraft had entered Taiwan’s southwest ADIZ. R.O.C. Armed Forces have monitored the situation and tasked CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and land-based missile systems to respond these activities. 

3.PLA balloon：
Two PRC’s balloons were detected at 21:31 and 22:40 yesterday after crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait at the location 55 nautical miles northwest of Chiayi and 71 nautical miles northwest of Keelung and altitude of approximately 30,000 and 32,000 feet. The balloons headed northeast and disappeared at 23:43 yesterday and 00:43 today.
